This is the number one rule when we talk about beauty and elegance. No wonder the much talented Italians have always been famous for their unmistakable sense for form and function, colour and shape, wether in fashion or automobiles or even race-cars.
Every race car, formula or gran tourismo is just constructed and designed for speed. - nothing else and to be fast means; have power and be light!
Leave away the things you will never need, even the speedometer.
Back in the fifties the shape of the race cars was as feminin as could be, soft lines and fragile constructions. Always best accompanied by a beutiful woman driver - even in races !
